al al The Void e hi The Residue Kav The Light-thread 1. It all started when the Essence of the Infinite somehow contracted its Infinite Light, the Or Ayn Sof so that a space could become available for the birth of the lower worlds. 2. The space resulting from the Tzimtzum (contraction) was called the Khallal or Khallal Hapanui (the empty void). Even in this space, void of any manifestation of the Infinite Light, there was a little residue of what was previously there, the Reshimu. 3. Into the Reshimu in the Khallal shone a single thread of Infinite Light, the Kav which, through many filtrations, diminishments, adjustments and so on, became Adam Kadmon, the Primal DNA of creation which went through many additional processes (such as Shevira) of becoming less grand, symbolized as passing through curtains, reflecting off walls, being filtered through rivers of light, etc. and resulted in what you see before you, what you are sitting on and reading.
