Tashlikh Inner Dialogue Rebonno Shel Olom! Master of the Universe! (Shekhina! Non-Angry One! Infinite Sea! Loving One! Wholeness To Which I am Drawn and Going! Essence of my Self, of My Life, of my Birth, of my Death, ofmy Fears and of my Love, ofmy Loves! Holy One! Sacred One! Great Spirit! Compassionate One! Cleansing One!) You have been identified with Thirteen Qualities of Compassion by the prophets Moses and Micah. These aspects of the universe's Divine Nature determine the particular quality of each holyday and demands on this Rosh Hashanah afternoon another shift in my letting go. I release these crumbs of bread to the great sea, to the fish of life who can eat the crumbs of my The eternal recycling in the Universal sea can make use of the energy trapped in these crumbs of nourishment I have needed to cling to out of my fears there will be no more. om. The universe can contain and make use of whatever I have unnecessarily held onto for so long, the subtle forms of flattery and identity here symbolized as crumbs. They sit undigested in my pocket, becoming stale and rotten as I hoard them. Today, on Rosh Hashanah, empowered by the community in public prayer I drop them to be recycled - back to me if they are truly mine, to others if they are stolen goods in my care. This is maybe why I have not been able to digest them and become richer through them - Perhaps they are undigestible to me because they belong to another. My pockets are full of such lint. I hereby let them go. of war and conflict. These are the other undigested nuggets I also let go of the crumbs of nt)r:c?'.J:) and crumbs that are still knocking around through my thoughts, unable as I am to bring closure and satisfaction to these thought-forms, pieces of anger, fragments of eterrially looping arguments, shards of shame, and crumbs of humiliation and conflict. I know that among your names is the quality of i~t,'!.,.~ r:n)IJCI~ NOT ANGRY FOREVER. Me too! Whether or not I am ready right now to rise above my defensive and aggressive judgements that my mind returns to out of habit, it is part of my larger self-identification that I am a being who is, like God, NOT ANGRY FOREVER. So I release these crumbs of war, either as final release - and where I cannot release them yet, as practice release, looking forward to that time in my life, 2,5,or 7 years from now when I will finally let those conflicts drop without replacing them with similarly invested packets of energy wrapped in new clothes. Shalom Unneeded Crumbs. You served me and now I release you into the great sea of the universe. Wash my mind in the recycling sea of energy, into your loving depths of compassion, love, and acceptance. (What I cannot release this day and which I still need to attempt to try some Teshuvah processes to eradicate and digest, I leave for the Scapegoat Ritual of Yorn Kippur, to ultimately release whatever is left by then.) At this moment I do not yet know if I have tried everything I could.
