Metaphors for the Complexities of the Great Oneness That We Are SYNESTHESIA "Synthesia" refers to the subjective sensation of differing sensations such as color and sound being perceived simultaneously. "At concerts, for me, the orchestra was like a painter. . . . If the violin came in by itself, I was suddenly fille1 with gold and fire, and with red so bright that I could not remember having seen it on any object. When it was the oboe's turn, a clear greeen light ran all through me, so cool that I seemed to feel the breath of night. There is nothin@ in the world which cannot be replaced by something else; sounds and colors are being exchanged endlessly, like thE air we breathe and the life it gives us; nothing is ever isolated or lost ... everything comes from God and returns to from JacquesLusseyran, quotetfin 'Ifie :futureof tfie 'Boay,p. 287 God along all the road ways of the world. PREGNANT, INTERLEAVED VENETIAN BLINDS On page 109 of the Meta-Siddur we find the Sh'ma reprinted from a Kabbalistic Siddur written in Assyriar (Torah) script. In this Sh'ma, the Divine Name is unusually printed. Each mention of the Divine Name is written i1 quadruplicate (enlarged on page 108.2), in two versions which each contain two Names of God, whose letters are mixed with each other in different ways. In the first version, the Yod Hay Vav Hay is written with the last Hay enlarged, containing within it, as if i1 embryo, the name Adonai. In the second version, the letters of the Yod Hay Vav Hay are interleaved with the letters of Adonai. These represent two patterns of the Divine energies symbolized by these names. In the first version, the Yod Hay Vav Hay is said to surround and overshadow the name ADONA!. This suggests that full manifestation of cosmic consciousness is most apparent with only a hint of the conventional, dominating, LORD/ servant reality. In the second version in which the letters are being interleaved and colated together, the Adonai is more present but still does not initiate, and so is not dominant. As the Yod Hay Vov Hay is the initiator, it determines the quality of the perception, and thus is the more clearly seen vision. This mix of patterns determines our reality, the varying perceptions of the truth we have to hold, the Yod Hay Vav Hay in varying degrees of clarity, yet mixed with illusions of less whole, more dualistic names of God. Ou perceived reality is dynamic, fluid, changing, according to many fractionated variables. This is the legacy of eating of the fruit of the Tree of Da'at, whose energy is a mixture of good and bad, Tov and Ra, interfering wave patterns Our perception of the Divine energies, until we evolve more, is like being on the receiving end of two venetian blind systems aiming the light panels at different angles. Only some configurations will reveal the true light in all its power. INTERFERENCE PATTERNS One of the things that makes holography possible is a phenomenon known as interference. Interference is the crisscrossing of pattern that occurs when two or more waves, such as waves of water, ripple through each other. A hologram is produced when a laser beeam is split into two beams. The first beam is bounced off an object to be photographed, the second beam is allowed to collide with the reflected light of the first. This creates an interference pattern which is then recorded on a piece of film. To the naked eye the film looks like the concentric rings that form when a handful of pebbles is tossed into a pond. But when another laser is shined through the film, a 3-dimenional image of the original object reappears. If the film is cut in half, each half will still be found to contain the entire image of theapple. Every small fragment of a piece of holographic film contains all the information recorded in the whole. from 'Ifie :J{ofograpfiic According to Karl Pribram, our brains work in a holographic manner. All the information is distributed throughout the brain so that whatever you may remove, the whole is still intact. The universe is said by (David Bohm) to function in this way, as well. Everything is everywhere, distributed throuo-hout. This includes the ast and future as well.
